Hi, I am a student at a technical college and for my micro hydro class we are looking for a suitable generator to use in our project. Would the 500w PMA be a good choice for a wet environment ? Thanks for the expert advise in advance !! Jim
We just received the first shipment of our newest model of 500-Watt PMAs in late February, which are compatible for hydro applications. Several improvements were made, including improved ball bearing seals to protect the bearings from rust and a completely weather-proof aluminum shell. It should do great for marine and hydro-electric applications.
Can I get some specifications on this motor? 1) I read it generates 12V at 100 rpm. If so this should have a 120V/krpm Ke specification from the manufacturer. Is this the peak line to line voltage or the rms value. 2) What is the resistance spec? 3) Does it have hall commutation inside. All I see is the 3 phase connections in the photo. What technique is used to convert the three phase power to DC Motor Guy
