Where is your sensor located?

I've read with other tracker sensors that the north-east or south-east corner is usually preferred.
I now know that reflections will affect the sensors accuracy so, I'm wondering where most users are mounting their sensors?
Also are you in the northern or southern hemisphere?
Mine (currently) is mounted top center but I think I may be getting to much reflection from the array.
It also doesn't help that I'm close to a large reflective area (lake)

I've added a SunTura to my off grid array however the wire for the sensor to the controller is to short to mount my photosensor at the top or bottom.:(
I've mounted it to the center east as that and center west are the only places wire length will allow placing.(and that is pushing it):(
This location works well for all but early morning sun.:(
As well it always is off a few degrees W compared to my other Suntura equipped array( even with adjusting LEDs).
Has anyone lengthened the wire to the photo sensor to enable mounting?
If so how did you do it(splice or solder)?
I have a section of bury able phone wire which I'm thinking may be a good replacement. Any thoughts?
I currently only use the E/W control but wish to add the N/S at some point.;)
