Anyone ever use one of these meters to monitor their battery statis? I have one setup in combination with a TS-60 TriStar pwm charge controller, but have some setup questions if anyone has installed one of these.
One question I have is my solar panel is charging batteries fine about same amp on the 2020 as on my solar charge controller. My wind turbine is putting say 4 amp into the battery(based on my clamp meter) but the 2020 is only showing about .5amps any idea why this may be?
Is your wind turbine neg. Hooked up like your solar? The trimetric reads thru the neg shunt that is provided. Are you sure there is not a problem with the turbine, recifier or any thing before the trimetric.
I believe all is Ok the amps were checked just before the shunt where all my Neg come together including the solar neg then one wire to the shunt. Is it possible that the (TS-60 charge controller) is reducing the amps as the batteries are almost full and that is what is showing on the 2020? If that were the case then the solar should also be reduced but it is not.
