Good morning; Four days ago I have installed a TrakMax 30L Charge Controller to a 800AH Lead Acid Battery Bank and four 100w Monocrystaline panels (for a total of 400w) in parallel mode. The TrackMax 30L Controller detects 20.3 volts in peak hours, however it always shows a current of 0.0A from the PV array. The charge limit in the TrakMax 30L Controller is set to 30A. I have two additional MPPT Controllers (other brands) connected to separate 400W PV arrays charging the same battery bank and they are showing around 20.1 volts from the each PV array and current from 0.1A to 1.6A being delivered to the battery bank. Depending on sun power the controllers show the battery Bank charge ranges from 13.4 to 14.2 volts (so batteries seems to be almost fully charged). I have never seen any amperes being delivered from the TrakMax 30L Controller even when the other two controllers are delivering current to the batteries. System is 12 volts.

    I have two questions:
    1. It is normal that the TrakMax 30L Charge Controller show 0.0A as current being delivered to the battery under this scenario, where other controllers are delivering current to the batteries?
    2. The Charge LED in the LED Indicators area keeps "Blinking", not steady, during day when sunlight is present, and turns red during night, is it ok? Asking this because the TrakMax Users Manual does not indicate that this light must be blinking, but just yellow, in order to charge.

    Disconnect the controllers.
Then run battery down to 12.6 volts then reconnect Trak Max 30L and see what it puts out then.
If it does. It's working and the settings are lower than the others.
All my controllers reduce or go to zero when it gets close to the max settings.

Hi TomT; thank you for your reply. Yes, I ran appliances over the system and next day noted that the controller was sending current to the batteries. I also received emails from the Windy Nation Support Team also confirming that the charger is working properly. Again, thank you very much for your help.

    Good morning:

Please, can you let me know if the TrakMax 30L Charge Controller is capable to handle twelve (12) 100 watt solar panels wired in a series-parallel configuration of 6-panel series strings wired in parallel (6s2p)?

Array 1: Six (6) panels wired in series
Array 2: Six (6) panels wired in series
    Then:
Arrays 1 and 2 wired in parallel

Specifications of each solar panel are the following:
    Operating Voltage: 18V
    Operating Current: 5.56A
    Open Circuit Voltage: 22.5V
    Short Cirvuit Voltage: 5.84A

Specifications on the TrakMax 30L are:

My purpose is to connect the TrakMax 30L charge controller to a 48Volt 400AH Battery Bank.

Please, I will appreciate any advice. Thank you.

6 panels in series is 135 volts which is under max.
Current will be 11.68. With the 2 strings added together.
Operating voltage and current will be lower.
Always go with the MAX values.
Changing cloud cover will drive everything to max values.
