SunGTI for wind is in fault mode

  1. My SunG for wind is currently stuck in Fault mode, are there any known fixes for this. I tried the disconnect theory, didn't work, checked the internal fuse, still good. Any other suggestions? Buy a new one right:rolleyes:.

I have one that is stuck in fault mode too. Have checked all I can and all seems fine. I was given a guys email by Leamy and he says to send it in and he will see what he can do with it. Says that he's not sure if he can fix or not. Any other ideas people. Or would we be better buying a new one ?

  3. After much research, I found that one of the four Mosfets on the AC side of the board was bad. $2.45 and a little solder knowledge later and the GTI is back up and running! :) Seems like a common problem with these wind rated GTIs from others I have talked with. I would check yours Tom if you haven't already with an ohm meter.

All components checked OK Fuses caps and mosfets. I even removed the relay and still no go. So I just put it in the junk bin.

If you want to send it to me Tom, if I can fix it I'll only charge you for parts. I'd like to take a closer look at these wind GTIs.

I did not know the relay cover did not come off the relay and pried it off. The pins are still in the board.

That would be great for you to get into the wind rated ones to repair.:)
