just got 2 of the windy nation dump loads wired them in parallel hooked them up, now the GTI is stuck in dump mode after the first dump? had my HHO fuel cell as the dump load before with no problems now with the proper real dump load the GTI is not working properly? help me o gods of wind aloha
Did you hook them in parallel with the dump load terminals on the gti? And which resistors did you buy ?
Once when I was testing my Sun G by spinning a motor with a drill my dump load stayed on. I didn't have the Sun G plugged into the grid and if that inverter doesn't reconize the grid, it automacally switches to the dump load mode. Once I plugged it into the grid, it worked fine.
What I was trying to get at is. We ran thru this earlier about how much or how little resistance you can use on the dump load terminals and not burn the contacts shut in dump or allow the voltage if is too much from climbing and blowing caps and or the fets. This is why I have not blown mine up. I use a separate controller and heavy duty relay for mine for dump and leave the dump terminals empty.
It looks like it is this one. http://www.windynation.com/community/threads/sun-g-wind-grid-tie-inverter.552/page-3
so what i got from that is my 2 24v 300watt dumps need to be in series and not in parallel? think that will work? thanks
That should work but not sure if it will slow the turbine. Keep an eye on it the first few times and make sure the dump does not get too hot.
