For the 750 WIND GENERATOR TURBINE PERMANENT MAGNET ALTERNATOR what is the rpm at 35 mph wind speed? what is the average life expectancy of this generator if this were to run at this speed 24/7/365? what controller would i need for a grid tie system?
1. The rpm at 35 mph is probably around 850-950 rpm. This is an approximation based of the knowledge that the Windtura 750 hits 750 Watts at 700 rpm. 2. If the generator were to run at full power for 24/7/365, I would recommend changing the bearings every couple of years. As long as you keep the generator fused and do not overheat, there should not be any issues with it. 3. There are many different grid tie controllers. The type of grid depends on many factors such as price, voltage range, power range, UL vs. non-UL listed, etc. If you define more clearly what your goals are and the conditions of use, it will be easier to recommend a grid tie.
