Anyone used this Charge controller for a wind system? The specs look good and they even have a way to have the unit "learn" about the wind generator's V and I characteristics and allow you to edit it:

I also wonder if there is a way to use a cheap GTI like the Sun 500G in place of a battery bank. That would be killer.

Also, not sure how it works in combination with solar. Seperate inputs?

    Hi Minnesota,

Art deco, circa 1930's model, lol ... but not up close, that's a pretty awesome programmable menu.
MPPT with learning ability, I'm glad to see smaller scale wind systems moving ahead.

Perhaps I am mistaken but it looked to me like a separate controller is needed for solar but that it can be tied-into the wind controller.

Looks like a good option for "high-end" hybrid systems.
Perhaps there will be a less expensive bracket down the road as the technology becomes more widespread.

    Thanks for the links,

    Dave
