Anyone used this Charge controller for a wind system? The specs look good and they even have a way to have the unit "learn" about the wind generator's V and I characteristics and allow you to edit it: Edit video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpslcfvrT6c I also wonder if there is a way to use a cheap GTI like the Sun 500G in place of a battery bank. That would be killer. Link to Model 150: http://www.midnitesolar.com/productPhot ... uct_ID=256 Also, not sure how it works in combination with solar. Seperate inputs?
Hi Minnesota, Art deco, circa 1930's model, lol ... but not up close, that's a pretty awesome programmable menu. MPPT with learning ability, I'm glad to see smaller scale wind systems moving ahead. Perhaps I am mistaken but it looked to me like a separate controller is needed for solar but that it can be tied-into the wind controller. http://www.midnitesolar.com/pdfs/classicDevUpdate3.pdf Looks like a good option for "high-end" hybrid systems. Perhaps there will be a less expensive bracket down the road as the technology becomes more widespread. Thanks for the links, Dave
