I set up this basic system to test before I invested in a completely off-grid solution. I have 2 x 100w panels feeding into a P30L charge controller which in turn charges a 100Ah battery. The load draws 10 amps and feeds a series of LED lights. I configured the system to power the lights for about 5 hours. The problem I'm having is that the load switches on during the day when the battery reaches the "load on" setting, currently set at its maximum of 13.7V. The timer is currently set on "00" (dawn to dusk) but it does the same even when it's set to a specific amount of hours. I assumed that the timer setting would override the "load on" setting but this appears not to be the case. Can anyone out there help, I am at a loss as to what to do next?
