    hi,
i saw your video on ebay and it says you used a leeson motor with the blades you have for sale. i have a 1hp,10amp,90vdc,1750rpm leeson motor. would it make a good generator? and if so, what blades would you recommend?
    thanks,
    jeff

Jeff, that motor will work pretty good. I would recommend three turbotorque blades. You will also probably need a 5/8 inch arbor to attach the hub to the motor shaft. (check the diameter of the motor's shaft before you order the arbor.)

I have a leeson direct current permanent magnet motor 1.5 hp 90 volt 15 amp 4800 rpm out of treadmill, can I use this motor?
I live in a fairly high wind area; What blade set would you recommend?

The volts to rpm ratio is fairly low. It will work but not very well:

I would recommend not using this motor.
