How many relays for more than one dump load?

Need a clarification because I'm about to raise my WindyNation 500W PMA on a tower.

I have a 40 amp controller, rectifier, one 40 amp relay, two 12 V dump loads. I just wasn't not sure if I should have one or two 40 amps relay because of two dump loads?

The 40 amp relay can handle 40 amps at continuous duty. Depending on where you set your dump voltage, each 300 Watt, 0.73 ohm resistor will consume about 20 amps. Therefore two will consume 40 amps in total. While you would probably be fine with one relay, it would be a good idea to use 2 relays and have a resistor hooked up to each relay.
