How do I set up a brake on a GTI

Was hoping someone could help me. I am trying to set up a system using GTI that when the grid goes down or the GTI fails my system will shut down. What I have been thinking is that if I hook up some sort of relay powered from the ac side of the GTI coming from the AC plug that if it fails it will activate a brake. I'm not sure what to get or how to hook up something like this. Anyone with any ideas?

Larry I have been looking over your system for some time now and just really don't get the contractor part of your system. I see that you are running the DC side in to a dump load when power goes down. What I don't understand is how to set it as a brake. My system is a ARI turbine 48v running to its charge controller then to GTI with battery clamping. What I want to do is brake turbine but not sure how to wire the contactor so that it will break it. Thanks
