Check Your Panels Voltage Before Using Them

    I just found out my 36 cell flex solar panels.
    Putting out way more volts than the listed Voc of 20 volts.
    So check them out first before you put them up and make them parallel or series.

    They may be Grid tie panels and miss labled. Some of the newer charge controlers like the out back flex 80 and 60 will take any voltage as long as all panels are same and gear to your battery bank. Utilizing the extra volts. I have more then 96 volts coming in to my flex 80 and 28.8 volts out, going to my 24 volt bank

    Well I just found out my old aluminum frame poly panels were 18 Voc and (2) in series is 79 volts.
