Big Claims for this Turbine

I found this one and do not think we will see it on a house anytime soon.

Wow so many ideas anymore.
It is hard to beleive any wind turbine manufacture any more until I see super testing results.

 

The Betz limit is 59.3%, and they say they can do up to 70%. :shock:

That's one tidbit that tells me this is bogus.

Artist depiction is tidbit #2. I bet it has a closed back-end so no wind power escapes. :lol:

What is interesting is I have figured out the efficiency (% of watts produced vs wind watts available) and the large turbines do around 20%. The Windtura 750 also does 20% at rated power (29mph). The Windmax HY400 also does ~20%. Car PMAs do ~10%.

I checked it out more and they are planning on producing a residential model in the future.
