Hi Guys, A small video of my 200 - 300 Watt unit in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQwhXVioFB0 My question is if I get a max of 12 m/s across the farm am I better off with another 300 Watt unit or do I go for a Super Amp? Thanks
Hi, I guess it depends. Are you producing enough power from your current wind turbine or do you need more power? If you are producing enough power then you do not need another wind turbine. If you are not producing enough power, then increase the height of you tower by about 7 meters and you should see a 20-40% increase in power production. Then, if you still need more power, you can determine how much more power you need. Once you know, you can then determine if you need a SuperAmp wind turbine or not.
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I am not generating enough power. I will raise the tower. I vary my load according to how much power I can produce. This is a "Grid Plus System". I am trying to be less dependent on the "Grid" and move to DC. I am going to order your solar tracking system as well. We are modifying the way we live to reduce our power consumption. Am I correct in my thinking that to connect 2 wind generators in parallel (AC) it must be done at the DC end after the rectifier? Love your web site. Cheers Zac & Judy
That would be a yes when connecting two turbines. Must be connected after the rectifiers on the DC side.
